In praise of new agent technology

Searching for the prefect property, and enduring the often long and demanding purchasing process, can be one of the most stressful things most people will ever do. But it doesn't have to be if you've got the right agent with the right equipment.

To be more specific, he was looking for property which he would rent to his daughter Kate, who, whilst waiting for her results, was hoping to attend St Angela's in Sligo in September to commence study for a B.Ed degree. During his search for a property, Paul found himself particularly impressed with the consistency and efficiency of communications from one particular auctioneer. Amongst other things, Paul was pleased by receiving regular property details by text and email.

"When we began looking for a suitable property - around the middle of July - I made contact with several auctioneers in Sligo, but DNG Flanagan Ford stood out on a number of accounts.

"After a short time I received a text message letting me know that brochures of suitable properties had been sent to my email address. I was shown a number of properties and it wasn't long before I'd secured the right property. Throughout the whole experience I noticed that no matter who I spoke with at DNG Flanagan Ford, they were always fully up to date in terms of where we were with the purchasing process. Which of course made things a whole lot less stressful for me!"

Impressed with the excellent communications he'd experienced throughout the whole purchasing process, he spoke with Shane Flanagan, Managing Partner at DNG Flanagan Ford who explained it was down to a new recently installed IT programme.

As Shane explained, "For an average house on our books, their might 200-300 prospective buyers who would match any given property. By using traditional methods of communication it would virtually impossible to contact everyone in a cost effective manner.

However, with PropertyCRM we can automatically text and email the brochure details, allowing quick identification of all prospective purchasers for a property. As well as this, the system allows us to track and log all actions in relation to a property, giving all staff members instant visibility on the progress of each transaction."
