What is it?
BrokerCRM is a technology company offering a product to the property, financial and broker markets. It is the only CRM (customer relationship management)t software specifically designed for professionals working in property and mortgages, as well as pensions and investments. Philip O' Reilly, the company's MD explains the niche, "If you walk into me today and want to buy a house for €150,000, I can instantly access from the system everything that matches that enquiry. I can email you a brochure, 50 brochures, a summary or a powerpoint presentation. If you forget to call me back I will have diarised to contact you in a week. Typically the guy who goes into an Auctioneers office never hears from the auctioneer again because they don't have a system to track all the enquiries they get, which can be 50 or 60 per day".
Who's behind it?
Philip O'Reilly founded the company
which began trading a year and a half ago. Formerly with Ulster Bank, which he left in 1982. He set up an Auctioneering Business, a mortgage brokerage and a life assurance and pension brokerage. He couldn't find a decent software system to cater for them. He went into business with Sean O' Sullivan who designed the product.
Financial Situation?
O' Reilly reckons that over €1m has been invested in the business. Turnover for this year should be about €750,000 and the company is making an operating profit. Customers include Remax in Tralee, Douglas Newman Good in Sligo, Property Partners in Longford and Liberty Asset Management. In total the product has 450 users in 52 offices.
Future Plans
O' Reilly plans to prove the model here before exporting it into the UK and Spain. The long term plan is to build a web based platform for the product making it easier to sell.
